Systems Engineer

Position Summary:

The Systems Engineer will be responsible for installation, configuration, component integration and customer support of hardware and software at customer locations. The position will also be responsible for troubleshooting technical issues, training technical and non-technical users and testing new software releases. Additional responsibilities include: configuring servers and workstations for our system including network and database. International and domestic travel required 50-80%.

Responsibilities and Requirements

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Configuring servers and workstations to operate BlueWare’s Wellness Connection & BestBond suite of products
• Scanning hardware and software installation and configuration
• Documenting site and support issues
• Training technical and non-technical end-users in the operation of Wellness Connection & BestBond
• Providing high level technical support to customers both in house and on-site
• Troubleshooting customers’ technical issues and escalating them to Application Development as needed
• Testing new software releases
• Working with Development and Project Manager to ensure timely delivery of software
• Working directly with Development to resolve build issues
• Reports to the Service Delivery Manager


Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in computer science, engineering or related fields
• Installation experience
• IBM iSeries skills desirable
• IBM OnDemand skills desirable
• Coding skills a plus – Java preferred
• Excellent written and oral communication skills with the ability to communicate at a level of detail appropriate for the audience
• Outstanding interpersonal and leadership skills, strong work ethic and self-motivated
• Enthusiastic and driven to succeed
• Ability to work independently, but also successfully work on a team
• Detail oriented and sound independent judgment
• Time management skills and ability to meet project deadlines
• Healthcare experience desirable
